He has been a self-taught guitarist since 1984. He was the founder, guitarist, composer and music arranger with the folk group Calimbornio, with whom he toured all over Spain and the French Brittany.

From 1996 to 2000, he was a guitarist, composer and arranger for the folk band "Luar na Lubre". They made two records then: "Plenilunio" (Warner music 1997) and "Cabo do mundo" (Warner music 1999), which went gold and were awarded two SGAE prizes for the best song (in which Daniel was a performer and arranger) and for the best folk record. During this period, he was guesting with Mike Oldfield, The Coors, Skydance… In 1994, he founded "Projecto Ninguém" and released a record ("Ball-cans") with the contribution of forty-two musicians from all over the world. This record turned into a multi-artistic show ( live music, dance, painting and sculpture) and Daniel was performing with them until 2000. At the same time, he was working as a composer, arranger, producer and performer for the record company Runa Records (A Coruña).

In 2002, he became a part of NOVA GALEGA DE DANZA.
