He was trained as a self-taught musician, in Galician traditional music. He was a founder of the traditional music band "Rumbadeira" and released the albums: "Para cantar como eu canto", "Rumbadeira" and "No faiado dos soños". He was a producer of the latter and of the album released by the tambourine players "Xiradela".

He started to play the guitar at the age of eleven. Then he learned how to play the accordion with Xabier Díaz. He studied singing with Carmen Rey, harmony with Antonio Peña and was a part of folk groups such as "Xacarandaina" in A Coruña. He also attended several courses, like the one given by a Bulgarian Voices soloist, among others.

He has been a contributor to the albums: "Nin tanto nin tampouco" Ruote, "Circo Montecuruto" Os Cempés, "Hepta" Berrogüetto, which was nominated for a Grammy in 2002. He has guested with Amancio Prada, Luar na Lubre and others.

He became the singing voice of NOVA GALEGA DE DANZA in 2003.
