To
celebrate that to the music and to the singing corresponds the act
of communicating the feelings - and thoughts - from all those near
places (Galiza and Portugal), the songs which are the air and belong
to all of us. Singing is a way of offering our soul, of knowing one
another, of being closer.
We
will together follow the lines, foot prints of our language from its
origin, from the Galician-Portuguese Medieval Literature.
We will also remember the songs which drew us nearer since we first
met, more than a decade now, mainly his uncle' songs which continue
to touch us, and also our own music inspired by this commom root.
In
this coming and going, our paths crossed many times to realize we
have a parallel sensibility, a taste for the singing words, for everyday
stories, a respect for our culture which makes us faithful to our
origins.
I
wish this proximity be forever, this friendship be continued and earnestly
hope for a fluid communication without prejudices, to make us feel
part of the same linguistic and historic root.
We
will sing in our language and feel our singing close to Recife, Acores,
Mindelo, Maputo, Alentejo… so different and so similar!!.
We would love to be able to share our deep love to our origins which
tie us to all those places through the music, literature, painting,…
